Planning a Project

No matter what type of project you've got in the works, the first step is proper planning. As mentioned, any type of excavating project requires careful and thorough planning to ensure that no damage is caused to other objects that are buried nearby. In addition, most excavating projects require extensive permits to ensure human, animal, and environmental safety is maintained.

Permits

The permitting process alone can be enough to delay a project if you're not experienced with it. Fortunately, we have years of experience obtaining permits of all kinds for all types of projects. This means that when we begin your project, we'll be able to work quickly and efficiently until it's done, without having to wait on local or state governments for approval.

Once the proper permits have been obtained, however, many obstacles can still exist. One obstacle is the presence of underground pipes and cables that must be avoided to prevent major delays and potential fines. Proper detecting of these service lines must be completed before the first shovel of dirt is moved. Fortunately, we have the equipment to be able to detect exactly where these lines are located, in addition to consulting with the local 811 service to provide the most clear picture of what's underground.

Of course, service lines aren't all that exists underground. Large roots, boulders, air pockets, and even archaeological artifacts can all be found when you begin excavation. Unless you want to try and deal with these obstacles on your own, it's crucial that you involve someone who knows what they're dealing with and how to work through it to keep your project moving forward.

Performance

After the initial obstacles have been dealt with, it's time for the project to swing into high gear. As earth begins to move, it's crucial that you have the correct equipment for a given job to ensure its successful completion. It's easy to underestimate just how back-breaking moving dirt by hand can be. It's also easy to underestimate just how difficult it is to safely drive a powered earth mover in what is often a confined space.

Especially in the case of a motorized earth mover, you can cause serious damage to the earth mover, nearby buildings, or the surrounding landscape if you don't know exactly what you're doing. Therefore, any time you may save by utilizing this approach is instantly negated by the length of time it will take you to fix what has been damaged. A much better approach, then, is to utilize our services, where we have the right-sized equipment for every job, plus the know-how to properly operate each piece of equipment.

Finishing Touches

Once a project has been mostly completed, it's time to start thinking about the finishing touches. These final steps are just as important to the success of a project as any of the other components. This is because these finishing touches ultimately determine the type of surface that you'll be left with to, then, move forward with your project. As we finish a project, we take extra care to ensure that our results match your expectations.

Whether it's a final grade of a pad site, or an extra check of the height of a mound for a landscape, we won't leave the site until you're completely satisfied. In addition, if any final inspections are required due to the changes we've made, we'll help you get those scheduled and signed-off so you can be in full compliance. We know you've got better things to worry about than a patch of dirt, so we'll make sure any issues are completely addressed.

Don't Break the Budget

We don't believe in gouging our customers. We understand you have options when it comes to your excavation needs, so we'll work hard to stay within your budget and still deliver results that delight you. We keep our costs low by utilizing machinery that's well-taken-care of, meaning we have minimal down time and fewer maintenance costs.

Our extensive experience also allows us to be able to quickly look at a project and determine what needs to be done, rather than making incorrect assumptions that have to be corrected later. Plus, we work to provide great prices because we believe it's simply the right thing to do. We want as many people as possible to be able to have access to quality excavation services, in order that more and more projects start with a solid foundation.
